The fellowship is all about making new friends and keeping them for life.  It is also about fun, music and meaningful discussions. It gives you opportunities to listen to people and to express your views. It is not just a platform for the religious lot. Whoever you are, whatever is your situation, you are free to come.

Just to keep our focus right, the CMF has designed four specific areas of commitment.

Towards GOD

Which is the best time to seek and know God? Is it after you get really old and have nothing else to do? The Bible says “Seek your creator in the days of your youth…” [Ecclesiastes 12:1]. CMF, through its meetings and conferences, creates a platform to know God, using the Bible as the basis. It encourages medical students and professionals to apply this knowledge of God to their daily walk.

Towards PATIENTS

As medical students and professionals, we come face to face with the reality of human suffering on a routine basis. The Bible says: “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn” [Romans 12:15]. Sickness is not simply a biological or physical phenomenon. It touches every level of our existence as a human being: physical, emotional, social, spiritual. So, healing should also address all these aspects. CMF seeks to transform the medical students and professionals and thereby transform the way they deal with their patients. As the profession is getting increasingly commercialized, it also hopes to shed some light on the much needed Medical Ethics as preparation for your future practice.

Towards STUDENTS & PROFESSIONALS

The art of mastering medicine is a long, tortuous and tough journey. The making of a specialist in any basic specialty will itself take up to 10 years. Those who pursue super specialization will have to dedicate more years for training ahead. Even with the end of formal training, studies never cease for the medical professional. Isn’t it a relief to have someone to accompany you through the journey? The Bible says: “Two are better than one, if either of them falls down, one can help the other up” [Ecclesiastes 4:9-10]. CMF aims to provide fellowship among students and graduates so as to provide the much needed support, guidance and encouragement for the journey. It seeks to make accessible wisdom from those who walked ahead of us.

Towards the NATION

Getting trained and practicing in Kerala can easily make one oblivious to the medical and spiritual needs of the rest of India. CMF seeks to bring home the reality of healthcare in India, through the life and testimonies of various graduates who have ventured out to serve in places of need in North India. The Bible says: “…the people living in darkness…have seen a great light” [Matthew 4:16]. Many of our graduates have made this verse come true in the places where they serve. All glory to God.
